Understanding MPF ECA and making good use of the transfer of the accrued benefits
ECA allows employees to transfer their accrued benefits from the portion of the employee’s mandatory contributions in their MPF accounts made during their current employment to another MPF trustee and scheme of their own choice once every calendar year. Employees can apply for transfer of their accrued benefits directly through a professional investment consultant or the new trustee without informing their current employer.
